Baker Communications has been re-engaged by the Unites States Department of Agriculture to deliver Exceptional Customer Service training and Time Management Skills training for its staff members. The USDA has engaged Baker training in the past, and its representatives were pleased with the results achieved in previous sessions. BCI is pleased to continue its relationship with the USDA and assist its employees with their current training needs.

Senior-level Baker instructors and subject matter experts in customer service and time management skills will travel to Washington, DC to deliver the training workshops for USDA staff members. During the Exceptional Customer Service training workshop, participants will learn and practice strategies to defuse conflict and create rapport, facilitating more productive communication. The skills learned in this seminar will enhance participants' ability to address the concerns and serve the interests of both internal and external customers. Attendees of the Time Management skills workshop will take a Time Audit to assess their current time management practices and learn where they can reduce time waste. Participants will learn strategies for sorting and prioritizing their to-do lists, scheduling long-term projects, and maintaining focus on goal-related activities.

About the USDA

The United States Department of Agriculture provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, and related issues based on sound public policy, the best available science, and efficient management.

The USDA has created a strategic plan to implement its vision. The framework of this plan depends on these key activities: expanding markets for agricultural products and support international economic development, further developing alternative markets for agricultural products and activities, providing financing needed to help expand job opportunities and improve housing, utilities and infrastructure in rural America, enhancing food safety by taking steps to reduce the prevalence of food-borne hazards from farm to table, improving nutrition and health by providing food assistance and nutrition education and promotion, and managing and protecting America's public and private lands working cooperatively with other levels of government and the private sector.
