Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS), an ocean subsurface imaging and modeling technology company, has requested training workshops from Baker Communications in the areas of Exceptional Presentations and Effective Technical Writing. PGS was seeking a training partner who could provide their technical staff with additional skills to help them communicate more effectively when presenting or writing up research material for publication. BCI was pleased to offer them a specialized writing program geared for technical and scientific writing, and an Exceptional Presentations course to meet their needs.

Senior-Level Instructors and subject matter experts from Baker Communications will meet with PGS staff to lead the workshops. During the presentation skills training program, participants will learn techniques for handling nervousness, planning and delivering a presentation that captures and holds the interest of their audience, creating and using effective visual aids, and vocal delivery skills. Writing workshop attendees will learn and practice strategies for selecting and organizing material for a technical report, avoiding common structural errors, and using editing techniques to ensure that their writing is clear, complete, concise, confirmed, and correct.
