NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has requested Exceptional Presentations training from Baker Communications for staff at its Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Baker has run the class for NASA's departmental heads in prior years, and when a new training need arose, the Administration did not hesitate to return to BCI and request that the course be reprised. NASA knows from experience that Baker can provide a training event that will meet its needs and provide staff members with the skills and techniques they needed to make truly exceptional presentations.

Senior-Level Instructors and Presentations Experts from Baker Communications will travel to Huntsville, Alabama to deliver the workshop. NASA staff will benefit from training on clear presentation structure for the opening, body, and closing using the ASIA format (Audience hook, Solution, Ideas, and Action request). They will learn to analyze audience needs and design their presentation to better communicate their message to their listeners, and have the opportunity to learn and practice delivery skills such as the four P's (Projection, Pauses, Pacing, and Pitch). Participants will also benefit from expert coaching by Baker trainers and a series of critiques based on video recordings of in-class practice presentations, allowing them to set a benchmark, identify areas in need of improvement, and monitor skill development throughout the seminar.

About NASA

NASA's mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research. NASA conducts its work in four principal organizations, called mission directorates:

  • Aeronautics: pioneers and proves new flight technologies that improve our ability to explore and which have practical applications on Earth.
  • Exploration Systems: creates capabilities for sustainable human and robotic exploration.
  • Science: explores the Earth, solar system and universe beyond; charts the best route of discovery; and reaps the benefits of Earth and space exploration for society.
  • Space Operations: provides critical enabling technologies for much of the rest of NASA through the space shuttle, the International Space Station and flight support.
